Instagramable Tourism Spots in Majalengka, West Java

I do believe that only a few people know where Majalengka is? Mostly people more know to Cirebon. Majalengka is one of a small city in West Java. It is located between Cirebon and Bandung. If you have been visited Cirebon, then you want to go to Bandung, you must have passed Jalan Raya Cirebon-Bandung, Majalengka. The distance from Cirebon to Majalengka about only 5 kilometers, it spends 15 minutes by car or motorcycle. Whereas, if you start from Jakarta. It is going to take time about 3 hours if passing through the toll Cipali (Cikampek Palimanan). Majalengka often called as “Wind City”, unfortunately I’m not sure why this small city called as “Wind City” but in my opinion it because still found many trees and the majority of populations are as farmers. So, we can get cool atmosphere is because the wind, and the atmosphere is similar to Bandung. Let me share a little bite about tourism spots at Majalengka. It is going to be a good alternative place for your weekend or your vacation. Here, the instagramable tourism spots at Majalengka, West Java :

 1. CURUG IBUN PELANGI
If you like to visit waterfall, it is a good recommendation for you. From the name you can image that there is rainbow and of course the waterfall. It should be a complete view to get back your soul after doing the work every day. Don’t worry for the ticket, believe in me, it is very cheap. The location is at Desa Sukadana, Argapura. It’s about 16 kilome
ters from the midtown of Majalengka. From the parking area you should walk in 10 minutes to arrive at Curug Ibun Pelangi, then you will see the vegetables garden, such as tomato, chili, and cabbage. As I previously mentioned that the majority of populations are farmers. So, you can see many kinds of vegetables around citizen’s houses. The famous part of Curug Ibun Pelangi Majalengka is the lava cliffs. This place has the cliffs with high 20 meters. According to citizens that stay around this place, the lava cliffs are formed from the Ciremai Mountain (the highest mountain in West Java). No wonder! because Curug Ibun Pelangi just a few kilometers differences. About only 15 minutes to arrive in starting point for hiking Ciremai Mountain.
If you are lucky enough, you are going to find ROL (Ray of Light) in this place. It is such a best combination between the high of lava cliffs and Ray of Light. The perfect time to visit Curug Ibun Pelangi is around 9 until 11 in the morning. The operating hours for this place is 09.00 AM-04.00 PM. I suggest that you should come earlier, at least you have arrived at 9 AM because I am sure you are going to be like the quiet place not too crowded.  2. TERASERING PANYAWEUYAN 

 Recently, Terasering Panyaweuyan is becoming “icon” of Majalengka. The reason is to show that mostly citizen of Argapura Majalengka are farmers, especially for union. Yes, Terasering Panyaweuyan is like plated of union plantation.


Commonly, we can see this scenery at Ubud, Bali. But, Terasering Panyaweuyan Majalengka has an unique characteristic. As we know, Terasering is close to rice fields, but only in Majalengka you can find Terasering of union plantation. Don’t worry about the ticket, because it is free. You only pay for the parking. For the last important information, you should come to Majalengka in Summer, around Maret-Agustus. Because these are the good time for your vacation in Majalengka. You’re going to see all green of union plantation that is formed by terasering.

Several times ago, Majalengka was only known in agriculture, especially rice plant. But, young generation in Majalengka whose like to travel, they made one community, NGETRIP MAJALENGKA.
